The trousers would have been made for the actor in a Hollywood movie made in the 1930s.
The dark navy blue trousers retain their original interior Western Costume Company costumier label detailing the actor.
Ray Collins was a prolific actor and starred in such greats as 'Citizen Kane' but he is perhaps best remembered for his role as 'Lt. Tragg' in the long running hit television series 'Perry Mason'.
