From the science fiction movie starring Sam Jones as 'Flash Gordon', comes this incredible two piece costume worn by one of the inhabitants of planet 'Mongo'.
The costume was made for the suitably lavish and extravagant planet 'Mongo' 'Emperor Ming' reception hall scenes.
Highly distinctive and indicative in colour and style of the whole film. The two piece costume comprises of a large open sleeved jacket with corresponding matching trousers. Both the Jacket and trousers are beautifully intricately detailed, to include fibreglass armour to each shoulder, embellished jewelled detailing, embroidered braiding, etc.
Exhibits slight wear due to production use but remains in very good overall condition.
A truly stunning example of the exemplary costume design of this cult classic science fiction movie.
