FLASH GORDON (1980)
Commander Helmet
From the science fiction movie, starring Sam Jones in the title role as Flash Gordon, comes this Helmet made for an Emperor Ming military commander.
The style of helmet is highly identifiable to the film with such helmets being clearly seen in multiple sequences.
The main body of the helmet has a base electro gold paint like coating, which has worn away in a couple of spot areas. This would originally have been black coated all over, but the black coating has now virtually gone. The surround around the front face opening is matt black but where there is paint splits to the top, it looks to have a black shiny underlay. There is slight damage to the front emblem. The interior is a matt black.
A wonderful artefact from the cult classic movie.
