FLASH GORDON (1980)

From the cult sci-fi classic starring Sam Jones as Flash Gordon comes this large scale miniature Hawkman.

The Hawkmen are seen throughout the movie and when in flight the production used a mixture of real actors and miniatures. Please view in particular the accompanying screen image capture which clearly shows such miniatures in use.

The large scale miniature lacks all it's accessories and clothing but the fixing points for production aerial shots are still present on it's back. Unusually for this style of miniature it has it's arms positioned to it's sides which may lend itself to being used for a crash diving effects shot. The body is constructed of a hard dense rubber like material which is now in a solid state.

Exhibits signs of general age and wear, in particular to the hands and feet but otherwise in overall good condition.
